As physicians, we strive to be wonderful healers but we are especially vulnerable to anxiety, stress overload, unhealthy self-criticism, self-judgments, and compassion fatigue because of our competitive training and emotionally exhausting work environments.

Having compassion for others starts with self care and having compassion for ourselves.

In Dr. Kristin Neff’s research, self-compassion includes self-kindness, a sense of common humanity (we are not alone in our imperfections), and mindfulness. Both mindfulness and self-compassion involve an attitude of curiosity and non-judgment toward our unique experiences.

Countless research studies have shown that self-compassion is strongly associated with emotional well-being, lowering our levels of stress, anxiety and depression, and increasing our happiness, optimism, self-efficacy, resilience, healthy lifestyle and more rewarding relationships.

This free webinar will help you to understand the power of self care and self compassion for you. Not only in your work as a woman physician, but in all areas of your life.
